AUTHOR
An author is a person, or a group of people, who publish a story, a scenario, a report, or comments concerning a story or a report. A document may be edited by the author directly in Profweb. The author of a report receives a fixed monetary sum to produce his work and commits to moderating it for a predetermined period following its publication.
COORDINATOR
The Coordinator is the person who is designated by the host college1 to be responsible for Profweb’s management and to ensure the necessary activity to support its development and its full utilization by the members of the collegial community. The Coordinator may, where possible, edit and publish any content on Profweb. He/She coordinates the Editorial Committee. If he/she has collaborators, he/she also coordinates their work.
COLLABORATOR
A collaborator takes on part of the Coordinator’s responsibilities, as delegated by the Coordinator, which may include the publishing of a report, a column, or any other aspect of the Coordinator’s task. Consequently, this person may, for the section of the Web site for which he/she is made responsible, ensure the planning, editorial revising, and writing of the report. He/She is also responsible for the on-line publication and the follow-up of the work. The collaborator is a member of the editorial committee and is authorised to proceed with revisions, provided that he/she notifies the author.
PARTNER
A partner may be a person, group, an association, or organisation which collaborates to ensure the smooth operation of Profweb. The members of the Steering Committee for IT Integration in College Education2, as well as of the editorial committee, are partners. Other groups or organizations may eventually become partners.
STEERING COMMITTEE
The Steering Committee (Comité d’orientation) is organized by the host college, and consists of ten members of which three are designated by the ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (including one representative from the host IT Partner)3, three from The Consultative Committee for IT Integration in College Education (Comité de concertation en intégration des TIC à l’enseignement collégial) (including one representative from the Anglophone colleges4), one from the host college, and three members from the Profweb collaboration team (including the Coordinator). The operating procedure of this committee is defined in the document "Comité d'orientation de Profweb, règles de fonctionnement" (Profweb Steering Committee – Rules of Operation).
EDITORIAL COMMITTEE
The Editorial Committee is composed of the following members: the Coordinator and Collaborators of Profweb; one (1) representative from the Fédération des cégeps who is in charge of animating the IT Reps Network; one (1) representative from the Association des collèges privés du Québec; three (3) members from IT partner organizations; and two (2) college teachers. The operating procedure for this committee is detailed in the document entitled "Comité éditorial, mandat et fonctionnement" (Editorial Committee, Mandate and Operations).
