Everyone today knows the feeling of information overload and the struggle to sort out the relevant from the irrelevant. After using various approaches to address this challenge Brenda Lamb realized that she was re-inventing the wheel, and part of the solution had already been provided by the Profweb organization.

A Social Dimension to Distance Learning

An experiment at Cégep@distance has offered the opportunity to explore the potential of social networks, and some of the advantages that have emerged from using this technology in distance learning could certainly be transferred into the classroom.
