EdTech Webinar Series - iPad-agogy: Teaching with a Tablet - February 7, 2012

presented by APOP and La Vitrine Technologie-Éducation

from 12 noon to 1:30 PM

In early 2010, Apple unveiled a communication tool which changed our relationship with the virtual world: the iPad. Since then, IT manufacturers have commercialized dozens of computer tablet models, running on Android, Windows or custom operation systems. Millions of consumers acquired a tablet in the last 18 months; among them many teachers who started using the device as a work tool, both at the office and in the classroom.

In this second EdTech Webinar, our guest speaker Allan McDonald, teacher at Heritage College, will provide an overview of how the iPad can be used in teaching, and demonstrate some apps which he uses in the classroom.

To participate, please fill in our registration form and send it by e-mail to registration@apop.qc.ca. You will then receive an invitation to the online activity by email. It is necessary to have a headset and a webcam. You can also benefit beforehand from a VIA tutorial session, the synchronous communication environment in which takes place the on-line activity, by communicating with us. Welcome to all!

We would be thrilled to receive your suggestions or questions at info@apop.qc.ca.
