| Workshop description |
More and more, institutions within the college network rely on an efficient and stimulating distribution of information on the programs and the services offered by their institution to recruit students. In this context, programs, via the departments, become determining promotional factors. But what aspects should we emphasize to attract future students? Are user-friendliness and quality compatible criteria? How does an institutional website or a departmental website adapt to various clienteles? How should the site be structured? What information should be included? How should visual, textual and auditory information be presented? In what proportions? How can the structure and organization of the site ensure fluid and comfortable navigation which encourages browsing?
These are just some of the pertinent questions that merit study before taking on the construction of an institutional portal. |
