| Workshop description |
The Personal Space section on the Profweb server offers college network teachers reliable, secure and rapid access to a personal web page, enabling the posting of educational websites and documents. How do you subscribe to this personal space? How do you transfer files on the server? How do you protect and limit access to your file directory? What are the types of software applications which can be placed in your personal space? What are the databases and programming protocols which are compatible with Profweb? Are data and educational resources placed in Profweb secure?
The various technical and procedural aspects associated with the use of the personal space in Profweb are presented and explored, to help make potential users self-sufficient, and to encourage and facilitate the full use of this unique resource exclusive to college teachers.
Those who participate in this workshop will also benefit from an online follow-up on posting and distribution on the Profweb site. |
